Oops - I forgot to add one important update! The playgrounds are still en route to the ANERA storage facility, from which they will be sent to the two sites. This delay is happening because the Israeli authorities demanded to get proof that the supporting poles for the playgrounds would not be used to launch rockets. It took PfP days to convince them that building a playground is a legitimate use of a hollow pole. Wow.
Anyway, this means that I probably have to wait another 5 or 6 days (inshallah) just to be able to start the installations. I'm so thankful for H's help with this, as he is doing much of the coordinating work and will call me once the playgrounds have arrived so that I can rush over to Beit Anan to begin. Hopefully I will still have enough time to see this process through to the ribbon cutting ceremony of at least one playground...

Sonia, I'm really happy you're here and hope your trip is fruitful for PfP, but more so, I hope it fills your soul with what I always feel here.
I'm leaving here tomorrow, but you know you can just call or email me in the US, or anyone of my family or friends here, if you need anything. Already my friends have become your friends as well.
big hugs,
susie
